Artist’s statement
David was raised in South Africa where he started pottery as a child and never looked back.
As a practising architect, he gains satisfaction working clay into colourful textured forms with his hands.
He makes coiled ceramic vessels, expressing their method of construction as decoration, influenced by his architectural background and African roots.
